Hi Maurizio, we are using your tool and it is very helpful. I wanted to consult with you on a bug I found. when transferring drivers from one character to the other, some drivers are getting broken and some are misplacing the correct joint left with right and the other way around. any ideas or thoughts. thanks. please contact me on my work email. dror.revach@datagen.tech

Hi Maurizio,
I am trying to purchase your add-on but it never goes through when using my credit card. Is there a minimum amount I need to input?
Thank you!

Hi,
no there is no minimum amount. You can even put 0$ and it will go through.

Hi Maurizio,
Thank you for your quick reply.
I have tried $0, $1, $2, $10 $20 without any results. I just get nothing after clicking on the "Get" button.

It worked now! I'm not sure why though.
Thank you. :)

Hello. Does your product work with Blender 2.92 ? I installed the add-on but it doesn't show up in the preferences / add-ons... I see it in the Blender AppData folder (using Windows 10). I tried restarting Blender, my pc, doesn't work... I could try to install the latest Blender version... This is my first time downloading and intalling an add-on, so it could just be me doing something wrong... Thanks.

Never mind, I figured it out. I unziped the folder, which I should not have done. When I install from the zip directly, it works fine. Newbie error!

Hi there! Commenting on this old post in the hopes you'll see this -- your Mesh Data Transfer tool (which is awesome) is a requirement for another plugin I am trying to use. However, I am having trouble installing it. The readme file is blank, but I installed the py script like normal and the blender log says it was successful. I must be missing a step though, because he module does not appear in my UI. Please let me know what step I am missing! Thank you!

Hi!
Thanks for the feedback I have added installation instructions to the product page.

Thank you! My mistake was unzipping it first -- works now!

This is working great for me, even in Blender 4! The results aren't perfect, but they are close. The workflow I'm using it for is to transfer shape-keys from a low-poly mesh (with subsurf modifier) to a high-res mesh (with subsurf applied) in order to get my shape-keys into UE5.
Does the tool do the raycast/closest comparisons to the mesh with the subsurface turned on? If-so, I would expect near-perfect results which I'm not getting. I'm happy to chat over email or discord so I can send you the blend file or photos. That said, the tool is already a life-saver so I'll put in a donation either way - thanks!

Hi Oliver,
unfortunately the tool does not work on subdivided meshes. It will always use the mesh before the modifiers for transferring the geometry data. I had this option in a older version of it but only worked for transferring the shape. I need to figure out a way to do that with shapekeys.
I'll take a look at it when I have some time. It might take a while but I should manage to get it done.

Understandable! This would definitely be a gamechanger for unreal developers/artists who use blender. That said I have tweaked my process a bit to get better results: after transferring, I noticed the vertex group of the shape key is lost, which caused most of my issues previously. At that point I just need to do some smoothing with the sculpt tool and it's close enough for my uses 👍

And thank you for the very generous donation!
It is always flattering to have support from the community!

Absolutely! I know this all takes time and effort. I would certainly pay more for the subdivided transfer, as that is what I'm trying to use the add-on for.
